
Jamie Cake
Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Jamie started his engineering career completing a craft electrical apprenticeship back in 2000, he then went on to work as a qualified electrical fitter for a local authority carrying out electrical installations, maintenance, and reactive repairs. Jamie’s experience and passion for engineering allowed him to make the transition into an office role where he managed the electrical servicing and MTC contract for a large city council while returning to college to complete his HNC in electrical engineering.
Jamie joined their electrical design team in 2012 and continued to develop within the role working with architects, building surveyors and mechanical engineers providing electrical designs for new builds and refurbishments of schools, offices, residential homes, leisure sites, and historic monuments.
Jamie has been involved with several iconic building’s architectural lighting projects, which includes leading on the replacement of the external lighting on the Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth. Jamie has experience with HV transformers, switches, switchboards, generators, UPS and renewable technology projects and enjoys the challenges and learning about new technology. In his spare time Jamie enjoys playing football and socialising with friends and family.
